Is 3D TV Worth every penny? … It seemed like my wife and I had just gotten everything settled inside our ‘amazing living-room watching movies center’ (as I love to refer to it as). We just finished downloading and installing the firmware updates that would let the HDMI output from your Blu-ray player handshake with all of those other system. We just made peace with Blu-ray’s long load times. We had fought and won the battle to place our surround speakers behind the couch and our subwoofer beside the potted plant. There was just made ourselves an excellent sandwich with the fixings (ham and swiss with lettuce, tomato and mayo for me personally – a well used Reuben to be with her). The lights were low, your children were out your front door and it was Blu-ray time.
Then such as a telephone call out of your annoying Aunt in Long Island came the shocking news – there’s a new Blu-ray format! Oh to the love of – slam the sandwich down! Cut the lights! We’re obsolete! Better start crow-barring the tv screen off the beaten track.
Yes, Blu-ray 3D is here – no amount of “But I just now bought X and Y!” changes that. The drumbeat for 3D had been strong, but once it turned out clear that James Cameron’s tale of giant blue Native Americans from another galaxy would make more money compared to GNP of Uruguay, it became a rock-solid inevitability. Not to mention you will find teeming armies of the younger generation acquainted with seeing there Miley Cyrus’ and Jonas Brothers in glorious 3D inside theater. Deny them that same experience both at home and they’ll text you to death.
Perhaps the most crucial question must ourselves prior to the upgrade is, “How dorky are those sunglasses, anyway?” Recall the dorkiest kid in grammar school? This picked his nose until it bled and so swallowed it all? Remember… … [-]
